The Shower of Blessings

The Shower of Blessings

Md. Tariqul Islam Siam

The droplet of blessings descends
A cold whisper against the scorching land,
The parched earth greets its profound command.
The rain's sweet scent permeates the air,
Kissing a leaf, once brown and bare,
Breathing life, making it vibrant and fair.
Upon a wilting flower, it gently lands,
Chromatic it looks; life it grants
It graces the cheek of a maiden fair,
Adding to her charm, a touch so rare!
It meets a broken boy, wandering, lost in despair,
Brings a smile of joy,
as he hides his tears from the world's stare.
The emerald hues deepen, a lush spectacle reborn,
As the horizon dons a misty adorn.
Silhouettes turn fade,
As the clouds assemble in a parade.
The wind dances with the branches in a playful fling,
What a mighty swing,
Caressing the earth with its tender kiss.
Transitory, this beautiful rain is!
Behold! The mist begins to clear,
The shower of blessings,
Bestow has bestowed a new attire!
Every droplet looks alike,
Yet each narrates a different story,
How enchanting you are, oh rain,
You fill my heart with such dreamy glory.
I yearn for your return, to see you again!
